Passend zur baldigen Weihnachten spiele ich dir heute ein Chorwerk zum Thema “O Magnum Mysterium”, dem grossen Wunder.
Dieses Türchen widme ich heute dem Geburtstagskind Heidi, welche ihren stolzen 90. Geburtstag feiern darf. Heidi ist eine grosse Unterstützerin meiner Kunst und ich bin ihr von Herzen dankbar dafür.
Morgen kommt dann bereits das Abschlusstürchen und der Marimba Adventskalender 2025 ist schon wieder Geschichte. Was für ein Erlebnis. Für mich eine riesige Weiterbildung und für dich hoffentlich allerbeste Unterhaltung. Danke, dass du dabei bist. =)
Just in time for the approaching Christmas season, I'm playing a choral piece for you today on the theme of "O Magnum Mysterium," the great miracle. Tomorrow, the final door of the advent calendar will open, and the 2025 Marimba Advent Calendar will already be history. What an experience! For me, it was a tremendous learning experience, and for you, I hope, it was wonderful entertainment. Thank you for joining me! =)

Heute ist es so weit. Die Bescherung ist da und dich erwartet das 24. und letzte Türchen meines mit viel Herzblut, Leidenschaft und in knapp 200 Arbeitsstunden gemachten Marimba Adventskalenders 2025.
Nein, du hast dich nicht verlesen: es sind tatsächlich gegen die 200 Arbeitsstunden von der Konzeptionsphase zu den Audiorecordings bis hin zu den Videodrehtagen und den vielen Stunden am Schneideplatz. Ich freue mich demnach sehr, wenn dir der diesjährige Wurf gefallen hat und du nächstes Jahr meinen Marimba Adventskalender 2026 all deinen Bekannten ans Herz legen kannst.
Dieses Jahr hatte ich sogar den Mut, in Zürich beim Notenpunkt Musikgschäft den physischen Adventskalender vorzustellen. Sie werden ihn nächstes Jahr mutmasslich auch verkaufen. Welch' Freude!!!
Nun aber zum super treffenden Titel, dem 1. Allegro aus dem "Winter" von Antonio Vivaldi.

Today's the day! The gift-giving has begun, and you're about to discover the 24th and final door of my Marimba Advent Calendar 2025, a project I created with so much heart and soul, passion, and nearly 200 hours of work.
No, you didn't misread that: it really is around 200 hours, from the initial concept and audio recordings to the video shoots and countless hours spent editing. I'd be thrilled if you enjoyed this year's version and would recommend my Marimba Advent Calendar 2026 to all your friends. This year, I even had the courage to present the physical Advent Calendar at Notenpunkt music store in Zurich. They'll probably be selling it next year, too. What a joy!
Now, on to the perfectly fitting title: the first Allegro from Antonio Vivaldi's "Winter." Thank you so much for supporting me on Patreon and also in real life by attending my concerts. Thank you to everyone who motivates me and keeps me going. I couldn't do it without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
